    A CloudAV Forum is great.
Now i surf on four Panda Forums. Swiss German, German, international and now CloudAV Forum.
I think it is time for a global Panda Forum. (like the kaspersky forum)

All languages, all Panda products in one big Forum.
    What do you say?

  2. October 27th, 2009 at 14:06 | #2

@kev yes kev, that’s one of the many projects we have to do :)

love the new version of panda cloud.

  5. October 28th, 2009 at 21:20 | #5

Unfortunately .90 is running horribly while .83 ran flawlessly. Something detrimental to the lightheartedness of Cloud has changed.

  6. October 28th, 2009 at 23:32 | #6

@Wiebelhaus That’s weird Wiebelhaus, it should be exactly the other way around. Make sure you allow it to run the initial scan right after install. Let it sit for about 5 mins or simply perform a quick scan. Then you should be OK after that.

  7. October 29th, 2009 at 00:06 | #7

    @Pedro Bustamante

    Will try , thanks.

Do I need Windows Firewall and Anti-virus if using Panda Cloud? If not, how do I turn off the Windows Antivirus?

    Lisa F.

  9. November 3rd, 2009 at 21:26 | #9

@Lise Fuhrer Yes you still need a firewall. Please make sure your Windows Firewall is turned on (Start, Control Panel, Windows Firewall).

Any data on how good beta 3 is at detecting and removing root-kits?
The PC mag article last June said version .09 wasn’t very good.

  11. November 5th, 2009 at 00:32 | #11

@paul pavlat Actually PCMag reviewed Beta1. There’s a more recent review of Beta2 by PCWorld here:

Do I need to uninstall beta 2 before I can install beta 3?

  14. November 6th, 2009 at 00:36 | #14

@Robert Crothers did you receive a confirmation email from “cloudantivirus”? If you did, did you click on the link in the email to activate the account? What email address was the email sent to?

@misterbravo You can simply run the Beta3 installer and it will uninstall the previous version and install the new one.

    November 12th, 2009 at 01:15 | #16

I just installed Cloud Antivirus. I have noticed that the Antivirus shows a message that it is not working properly and that it is switched off when i start my computer. Why is this? Any resolution?

  17. November 13th, 2009 at 12:56 | #17

@arsalanAly There is no “update” button. As Panda Cloud Antivirus works in real-time against PandaLabs Collective Intelligence servers, it does not need to “update”.

@Rithesh please post this problem at the tech support forum at http://www.cloudantivirus.com/forum.

  18. November 14th, 2009 at 00:47 | #18

I am just curious that do we need to uninstall previous version to upgrade to newer version?( not from beta to version 1, I mean from version 1 final to ver. 1.5 or ver.2)

  19. November 14th, 2009 at 01:09 | #19

@Tom Only for now Tom. In the future we will be adding automatic upgrades :)

  20. November 14th, 2009 at 01:43 | #20

Thanks for quick response. I did some searches on the web but I can’t find the full features and functions of Panda cloud. Does PCA contain any filter or just stop at detecting, disinfecting malware? @Pedro Bustamante

  21. Darryl Henderson
    November 14th, 2009 at 11:15 | #21

Panda slows down my computer using 100% of the CPU when I install other programs. What could be the cause of this? I have already re-installed the Anti-virus software but he problem persists. I this version of Panda corrupted? What can I do too resolve this issue, I would hate to have to abandon Panda in favor of another anti-virus program.

  22. Dieter
    November 14th, 2009 at 14:33 | #22

I have not been able to download Beta 3, since the download link does not work. Is there an updated link available? I am anxious to try this on both of my Win 7 machines.

  23. November 14th, 2009 at 16:14 | #23

@Tom what exactly do you mean by “filter”?

@Darryl Henderson this is not normal. Probably due to having another security product installed that also works in the background. Review the applications you have installed and uninstall if you have any permanent protection on-access scanner other than PCA.

@Dieter Please point your browser to http://www.cloudantivirus.com and you’ll be able to download version 1.0.

  24. November 15th, 2009 at 10:24 | #24

@Pedro Bustamante They are web or messenger filter. I saw them on most of the antivirus vendors out there.
P/S: In fact, I just want to know more about PCA, I do not try to find any problems from panda.

  25. November 15th, 2009 at 13:40 | #25

@Tom Thanks, I thought that is also what you meant but I wasn’t sure. For now PCA does not scan the web and email traffic streams, but it does scan and disinfect any attachment or download that enters the PC via these vectors.

I just installed Cloud AV 1.0 Final Release and received the following nastygram (in red)”There has been an error. There seems to be a problem and we cannot check your data. Please try again later.

Well, after several hours of “trying later,” I’m raising the HELP flag.

    Suggestions, anyone?

    Hallo,
İ cannot activate my panda cloud AV.
The program doesnot except my registered emailadres and password, so i made a new account, same problem!
How can İ solve this problem?

  32. November 25th, 2009 at 18:37 | #32

@Guido Yes, you should not have 2 antivirus or anti-malware solutions running at the same time. They will conflict for sure. You can mix Panda Cloud Antivirus with other solutions such as behavioural analysis, firewall, etc. but not with another AV.

@ngthfong Sorry, no support for server OS.

@Mel Tolhurst is this during the activation of Panda Cloud Antivirus? What are you doing when this error comes up?

@Tonya & @Auke van der Velde, send me an email to pedro.bustamante@pandasecurity.com with your registered account and we will solve the problem you are having.

Hi! I just want to know if The Panda-program is superwising against virusattacs in present time and works with a firewall like f.i. Norton?
Can I exchange from Norton to Panda with the same or better result?

I upgrade my pc to Windows 7 and installed panda cloud.
I get the same error message that Mel Tolhurst wrote.
”There has been an error. There seems to be a problem and we cannot check your data. Please try again later.”

Something must be wrong with panda because I can’t start NanoServiceMain Service. I already created account and I can login. And I already reinstalled panda 5 times. There may be some problem but I can’t know what wrong with it.

When I try to start NanoServiceMain, it shows a side by side error and can’t start.

    please advice me.

  39. November 30th, 2009 at 12:28 | #39

@james You can simply undo any detection from the Recycle Bin. Just click on the bottom-right corner of Cloud Antivirus to flip the screen. From the Recycle Bin you can unblock a suspicious/potentially unwanted detection. Alternatively you can click on “Can’t find what you’re looking for?” and get the history of disinfections where you can manually restore any disinfection.

@Jerry Wesch Please use the regular support forums for questions regading Panda AV, Internet Security and Global Protection products. You can find these at http://support.pandasecurity.com/forum.

@Stig Rydmark Yes it works as a full AV and is compatible with any third-party firewall. In the case of firewalls included in Norton and other products which also have AV, make sure to install first Cloud Antivirus and then install Norton *without* the AV (which I’m not sure you can do. Alternatively use other firewalls such as Outpost or Comodo.

@ramesh & @shuji, please post this same problem description at http://www.cloudantivirus.com/forum.

  49. December 7th, 2009 at 17:47 | #49

@frustratet & @dragon please send me your email address which you used to register and we will activate them manually.

@Ron Cooke Panda Cloud Antivirus determines this by pinging http://www.iana.org. Try pinging yourself from a DOS prompt to see what answer you receive.

@Ed Hamilton What Operating System are you running under? Have you tried installing as an administrator?

What is the point of offering a PANDA software product that you cannot un-install. Now I cannot install any other ant-virus software products and I am stuck with a PANDA product that will NOT work
    Never again PANDA thank you
