You can participate and cast your vote here:
http://www.cloudantivirus.com/forum/poll.jspa?pollID=50051

Something is wrong with the poll because I cannot participate with it(I tried with Opera 10.10 and SRWare Iron 4.0 beta). Anyway, I used t0 use NOD32 4.0.

@Przemek You’re right, the poll was created in a section of the forum without write-access for non-moderator users. Sorry about that. I’ve deleted the poll and re-created it again. Please re-submit your votes.

it would have been better if you had used a polldaddy powered poll here.

Thanks for the tip Sushubh, I’ll keep it in mind for the future! :)

it is working fine now once i figured it out,, a little of subject but once you get automatic program updates and behave sheild in place i think you will see a lot more people come over to panda cloud.

Cannot vote using FireFox 3.5.5 because bottom of poll list is trucated at “Panda”… FWIW I used SystemSuite (Trend AV technology) for many years.

For some reason the poll wasn’t working for me… But, I transferred from AVG. I did notice that your software is saying that “gostats” is a threat when it clearly isn’t. I did a search in your threat-information section and noticed that there was some wrong/incorrect information there. I think this is a problem/false-positive.

Doesnt surprise me that most are coming from AVG

boooooo Panda Cloud Antivirus for blocking screen readers for the blind!!
    booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!

its supposed to be an ANTI-VIRUS program, not a firewall!!
    boooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. December 21st, 2009 at 02:25 | #11

you don’t get viruses by commercial applications running on your personal computer! stupid Panda!!! I’ve never known ANYONE to get a virus that way! sheesh!! Even the Panda Antivirus 2010 doesn’t do that. I say leave the antivirus, take off the damn firewall!!! boooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!

  12. December 22nd, 2009 at 19:42 | #12

Last night i scanned my PC and Cloud deleted files of many programs i used which are definitely NOT a virus neither they have anything to do with them. DAMN NICE i hate this software, i clicked that it DONT delete the “viruses” but it did it anyway –> AWSOME
You dont have any option to configure it except the proxy setting which are for 90% of the user is useless because they dont use it anyway. You cant define what files are protected or anything

    my recommendation
    - DONT scan your computer with it or you will lose some files you might use

    - scan your computer if you want to delete important files

    - tell it to your friends

ps: cloud looked so nice the first time but its a total FAIL!

The problem is, it is impossible to register so I can’t try it.
I can’t even post on the forum because it doesn’t accept anonymous.
It is said ” Random Activation Problems”, but it is not random, it is permanent…

  15. December 24th, 2009 at 03:07 | #15

@Eugen Legit program files CAN be infected by file-infecting viruses. Make sure your programs are not infected before recovering them (from the Recycle Bin of Panda Cloud AV).

@Lina We upgraded the website yesterday and this could very well be the cause of the problems you saw. Please try again.

    @Pedro Bustamante
Thank’s for the replay, but it is still the same.
    I get this response :
    “Could not complete this action.”
I tried it with Firefox 3.5.6 and IE8 under XP and Firefox 3.5.6 under Fedora 12 (Linux).

  17. December 27th, 2009 at 23:45 | #17

Everytime I try to register, it sends me back a blank screen.

the best i had was a squared with comodo firewall and trusteer rapport as a last line of defence. one is never enough. have substituted this for a squared just to see but a squared is top.

Isn’t the purpose of PCA to be as light as possible while providing protection? They could add a web shield, behavior shield, firewall, and a antispam filter, but it totally ruin the simplicity of it. I say they should leave it be, it already protects my computer well enough.@intrepid44

  20. January 1st, 2010 at 14:24 | #20

@Lina & @Carol, this should be fixed already. Please try again.

  23. Deepankar
    January 2nd, 2010 at 07:14 | #23

Will it detect and remove all types of malawares?

  24. January 4th, 2010 at 10:01 | #24

@Deepankar Yes you can replace AVG & Spybot with Panda Cloud Antivirus, as it detects all types of malware.

There is no place to chedk Norton on your poll.

@AK47 You mean the avatars next to your comment? It’s a wordpress blog functionality that automatically creates an avatar based on the characteristics of your email address and your comment.

@R Bratcher Norton is shown in the poll as “Symantec – Norton”

    @Pedro Bustamante
Symantec-Norton is not on the poll. They are listed alphabetically and nothing below ‘P’ is visible and cannot scroll down on that list.

  34. February 3rd, 2010 at 19:28 | #34

@Forrest The picture on this page is just a picture, not the actual poll. You need to click on the link or on the picture to take you to the actual poll which is available here:

I have a Panda paid AV program for use on 3 PCs it is due to be renewed in the near future, as I only use one PC would the Panda cloud be a subsitute for the paid version? or is it just a sprat to sell more paid versions??
    bill

  36. February 11th, 2010 at 01:06 | #36

@Bill Moutter Yep, you can use Panda CloudAV as a substitute :)

  37. February 20th, 2010 at 01:12 | #37

Interesting, I never really thought about a cloud based AV scanner.

But, after thinking about this, I’m rather surprised you named this a Cloud product instead of something like “Proxy”, as that’s basically what it is.

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but all that is really happening is that Panda is looking at all the traffic, in it’s raw form, and nuking the “bad” data before it gets to the user – correct?

  38. February 21st, 2010 at 15:36 | #38

@Justin Similar, but not exactly the same. Basically what we’ve done is divided the signatures & heuristics in two parts, one is installed locally in the PC (as with traditional AV) and the rest is queried over the Internet against our servers. More detailed info on Panda Cloud Antivirus here:

Earlier i used Avira, but now changed to Cloud, its Light. Not affecting the system speed.
