  • More options for restoring neutralized files. More flexibility when recovering neutralized files, allowing for automatic and manual recovery, exclusions, configuration of the Recycle Bin automatic emptying, path to recover, etc.
  • Improved handling of known good files to reduce false positive rates by the new behavioural engine and automated classification from the Collective Intelligence servers.
  • Optimized installation background scan by using adaptive low-priority scans.

but didnt the Automatic upgrade come to the free version to ?? i dont think people wants to check every week and install a new version whole time if it could be automatic? and a other question Why did you put an nagging screen in it and when does this nagging screen come? ( just asking )

Congratulations and a great product, this will make waves in the security field..

  6. June 3rd, 2010 at 18:34 | #6

@Casper Thygesen & @Tim the automatic upgrades are only for new versions of the program. These will not happen every week. If you are using the free version and we release a new version in x months, you will see a little notification which you can click and it will point you to the upgrade. The pro has this completely transparent.

    June 3rd, 2010 at 18:41 | #7

    @TIM
    See here:
    http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=1688542&postcount=43

The “nagg” screen will only show it self if you try to use any of the Pro features, for eg you push the behavior analysis button inside the GUI wich will trigger a nagg screen but that’s about it.

So basically > As long as you don’t try to activate any of the Pro features the Nagg will stay invisible.

    Hi there,

Congratulations to Mr.Bustamante and all Panda Cloud Team, Great job you did!!

did I read it right that:

“Ability to run alongside other AVs and Anti-Spyware. Can now be run alongside other security tools and scanners.”

Does it mean that I can install and run Panda Cloud with my current MSE AV with no conflicts?! (Please confirm, it’s like dream come true!!!!)

    Thank You So Much!!

  14. June 4th, 2010 at 00:46 | #14

@sogima weird, no info whatsoever on that md5 in any of the regular places. Can you please compress the .exe inside a .zip with password protection (“infected”) and send it to me to pedro.bustamante’at’pandasecurity.com?

@Daan thanks for the comments Daan. Even though you can install PCAV next to other AV and antispyware, we always recommend to only have 1 running at the same time.

I have a question and I brought it up in the forum it would be nice if you could clarify panda clouds ability ability to run alongside other AVs and Anti-Spyware. (Can now be run alongside other security tools and scanners.) This may be misinterpreted by some users and since I’m a beta tester of the 1.1 version and was also testing out Immunets new version 2.0 both were closed Beta’s I see some users asking already will it run fine along side MSE or avast free. I would hate to see anything happen to any community users since its common knowledge that two Av’s are very bad to run at the same time with realtime protection but cloud based detection seems to be different.

    June 4th, 2010 at 06:42 | #16

Besides the comment I posted before this and having been a beta user through the whole process from two major bug issues and having to reinstall windows to the last beta which had no issues to speak of but a minor licensing issue that wasn’t a matter of a system bug. I’m very happy to have been part of this Beta. Panda came a long way and all the coders and software developers deserve a congrats for an excellent job done. Way to go panda security.

Spectacular av version again. Congratulations Panda Team!!

  18. June 4th, 2010 at 09:25 | #18

Why, oh why did you decided to place it on CNET?! It takes hours of endles refresh clickin’ and looking at “We’re sorry, but the page you requested could not be found.” message, before you can actually download! Does they pay you for forcing users to look at their banners and press F5?

  19. June 4th, 2010 at 09:30 | #19

@Kams No, we don’t get a dime from this, but it helps show the new version to people who do not know it. Maybe they are overloaded, try again in some time or through a different line if possible.

    @Just for my Memory

Panda did add new stuff to the free version and I don’t think they are going to stop adding stuff to the free version from now on.

@Buddee I think Panda is looking into a HTTP scanner like Panda Internet Security for Panda Cloud :)

PCAV is blocking media player from playing a file. Is this a bug? I am sure that my PC is not infected.

  36. June 6th, 2010 at 19:48 | #36

what is the point of this prd. way too buggy, and you guys could compete with awast free, coz the basic law for any av fails on it. ie “the av should not freez during its exn” better switch to NOD32, way too better..

  37. June 6th, 2010 at 19:55 | #37

forgot something.. most of the virri spread through USB stick, so if you find file names like update, window, cmd or any weird names in the root of the drive better delete it and look for hidden folders with weird names, they are possibly virus too, and ALWAYS OPEN YOUR USB DRIVE THROURG ADDRESSBAR, DO NOT DOUBLE CLICK AND OPEN THE USB DRIVE , otherwise DISABLE AUTORUN OF USB DRIVES’ by doing so you can make sure that you dont get infected AND DOWNLOAD CRACKS/KEYGENS FROM REPUTED SITES ONLY. if you are able to do this , then you probably dont need an av, cheers Kevin mailme @ itskevinsam@yahoo.co.in

Hmmm. I’m 64% into running a scan on a data drive, and it’s shown up file with Trj/CI.A. Not a problem. I can delete it, it’s surplus to requirements, and it’s never been used.

However :) it shows a not neutralized link. When I click on it, I get an excellent link to a description of the little monkey. But when I click on ‘See recommended solution’ I get a web page that begins “Introduction to”

“is a security service that protects your PC without affecting performance: It always offers maximum protection and only comes into action when it is necessary.”

S’right, nothing after “Introduction to” except a blank line. No recommended solution. Not really a problem here. But….

    I’m using the free version.

Hi Pedro…I am using the new free cloud AV, but I have a problem/question. When I disconnect from wifi or turn off my wifi altogether (thus having no valid internet connection) Panda keeps on happily saying that I am “properly connected to the internet” at the moment. This is concerning…if it always says that and never can be thrown off, how would I ever know that it doesn’t connect properly?

  42. June 8th, 2010 at 07:55 | #42

before all, is is not clear to me whether Panda Cloud AV may run as standalone, or that a realtime AV-scanner (I use Norman) is required.

nops coz i’m also using 1MB connection in home and i never face any problem coz it uses very low bandwidth, in my test i scanned my whole system and it take nearly 1mb of data with thousands of virus in my test folder too.

You don’t need a code (I think you mean license?) to be able to use Panda Cloud Antivirus Free.

Just go to this link and download the program right away.

Pleased as punch — especially since the full scan didn’t find anything on my system. :) Spyware cookies are now being detected. Cool! I also love the ability to exclude certain folders, at last! A little confused about whether subfolders are selected by default or not though.

The only other thing I’m waiting for is scheduled scanning.

Thanks for the hard work and the commitment to keep everyone safe. I install Panda on every computer I fix, replacing all the other crappy bloatware.

What’s the best way to put 1.1 on a computer (win xp pro sp3) with 1.0 already installed? Do you first need to uninstall 1.0, clean the registry, then reinstall 1.1? Or can 1.0 be upgraded to 1.1 without leaving a lot of detritus behind? Great product by the way.

It’s easy, you just need to run the installer of 1.1 and it will automatically uninstall the old 1.0 version.
