Panda Cloud Antivirus 1.1.0
June 3rd, 2010
Finally the new Panda Cloud Antivirus Free Edition and the new Panda Cloud Antivirus Pro are here!
After only 7 months since the release of PCAV 1.0 in November 2009, which has been download by almost 10 million users, the next major release of PCAV is finally available in two flavours: Free Edition and Pro.

Download your copy from http://www.cloudantivirus.com. NOTE: there’s no need to uninstall the previous version. The new version will automatically upgrade the one you have installed.
New features and changelog:
- Behavioural blocking. Proactive, signature-less, protection against malicious actions typically used by malware. Generic blocking of malicious PDF/DOC/XLS/PPT/WMV/etc. droppers. Compatible with both 32 and 64bit Operating Systems.
- Behavioural analysis (PRO only). Runtime analysis and blocking of running processes. Compatible with 32bits Operating Systems as well as for 32bit processes under 64bit systems.
- Advanced configuration. Ability to turn on/off and tweak the behaviour of the different engines, cloud responses, advanced logging, recycle bin settings, exclusions, etc.
- Self-protection of the AV processes and configurations.
- Re-do detections that were previously un-done so that they are detected again.
- Automatic upgrades (PRO only) to new engine versions and new features automatically and transparently.
- Improved offline protection. Default deactivation of Windows Autorun.
- USB vaccination (PRO only) Automatic vaccination of USB memory keys and hard drives.
- Ability to run alongside other AVs and Anti-Spyware. Can now be run alongside other security tools and scanners.
- Full scan option. Added option to run a full PC scan easily.
- More languages. Added 9 new languages. PCAV is now available in a total of 20 languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Greek, Polish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Turkish, Hungarian, Japanese, Slovak, Norwegian and Finnish.
- Quicker download & install experience thanks to new stub-installer which is 300kb in size.
- More options for restoring neutralized files. More flexibility when recovering neutralized files, allowing for automatic and manual recovery, exclusions, configuration of the Recycle Bin automatic emptying, path to recover, etc.
- Improved handling of known good files to reduce false positive rates by the new behavioural engine and automated classification from the Collective Intelligence servers.
- Optimized installation background scan by using adaptive low-priority scans.
- Improved scanning progress information by showing when a large compressed file is being scanned to avoid the perception that the stuck is stuck.
- Fixed certain situations when the PandaCloudTestFile.exe was not being detected even though the PC was correctly connected to the Internet.

Congratulations Pedro and the rest of the PCAV Team for making a great Product!!!!
I am confused by the products page. Will the free version not update/upgrade itself from now on?
good to know that we can have full featured truprevent in cloud av pro, its time to switch from PIS 2010 to pav cloud pro.
Congratulations for the next release..:D
but didnt the Automatic upgrade come to the free version to ?? i dont think people wants to check every week and install a new version whole time if it could be automatic? and a other question Why did you put an nagging screen in it and when does this nagging screen come? ( just asking )
Congratulations and a great product, this will make waves in the security field..
@Casper Thygesen & @Tim the automatic upgrades are only for new versions of the program. These will not happen every week. If you are using the free version and we release a new version in x months, you will see a little notification which you can click and it will point you to the upgrade. The pro has this completely transparent.

The “nagg” screen will only show it self if you try to use any of the Pro features, for eg you push the behavior analysis button inside the GUI wich will trigger a nagg screen but that’s about it.
So basically > As long as you don’t try to activate any of the Pro features the Nagg will stay invisible.
@J_G
@Pedro Bustamante
Thank you for your quick answers
great that the there will be a notification then when there is a new version ready:)
sorry for all the trouble..
we all (whole PCA Community) have been looking forward to this! congrats & thanks!
siszpe32.exe
what´s this?.
siszpe32.exe is located in the ‘C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\’ folder and has a size of 29696 bytes.
@sogima looks a little suspicious. Did you scan it with PCAV? If you can, post the MD5 has of the file.
@Pedro Bustamante
siszpe32.exe 30 kB 14/04/08 02:12:36

Hi there,
Congratulations to Mr.Bustamante and all Panda Cloud Team, Great job you did!!
did I read it right that:
“Ability to run alongside other AVs and Anti-Spyware. Can now be run alongside other security tools and scanners.”
Does it mean that I can install and run Panda Cloud with my current MSE AV with no conflicts?! (Please confirm, it’s like dream come true!!!!)
Thank You So Much!!
@sogima weird, no info whatsoever on that md5 in any of the regular places. Can you please compress the .exe inside a .zip with password protection (“infected”) and send it to me to pedro.bustamante’at’pandasecurity.com?
@Daan thanks for the comments Daan. Even though you can install PCAV next to other AV and antispyware, we always recommend to only have 1 running at the same time.
I have a question and I brought it up in the forum it would be nice if you could clarify panda clouds ability ability to run alongside other AVs and Anti-Spyware. (Can now be run alongside other security tools and scanners.) This may be misinterpreted by some users and since I’m a beta tester of the 1.1 version and was also testing out Immunets new version 2.0 both were closed Beta’s I see some users asking already will it run fine along side MSE or avast free. I would hate to see anything happen to any community users since its common knowledge that two Av’s are very bad to run at the same time with realtime protection but cloud based detection seems to be different.
Besides the comment I posted before this and having been a beta user through the whole process from two major bug issues and having to reinstall windows to the last beta which had no issues to speak of but a minor licensing issue that wasn’t a matter of a system bug. I’m very happy to have been part of this Beta. Panda came a long way and all the coders and software developers deserve a congrats for an excellent job done. Way to go panda security.
Spectacular av version again. Congratulations Panda Team!!
Why, oh why did you decided to place it on CNET?! It takes hours of endles refresh clickin’ and looking at “We’re sorry, but the page you requested could not be found.” message, before you can actually download! Does they pay you for forcing users to look at their banners and press F5?
@Kams No, we don’t get a dime from this, but it helps show the new version to people who do not know it. Maybe they are overloaded, try again in some time or through a different line if possible.
I´ve download paid version. I can only say again: “Best av in market” Congrats Panda. Cloud computing power!
thanks.
I like this product; but now, Cloud Antivirus PRO? Sadly, not all features are being added to the free version anymore.
i would surely buy the pro version for my laptop if it has the HTTP scanner, any how have to stick with PIS 2010 and upcoming 2011
@Just for my Memory
Panda did add new stuff to the free version and I don’t think they are going to stop adding stuff to the free version from now on.
@Buddee I think Panda is looking into a HTTP scanner like Panda Internet Security for Panda Cloud
i resolve the problem siszpe32.exe whit FreeFixer
@Pedro Bustamante
Sorry, that is for all downloads from that site and for years. None of people I know uses that site, if there is an alternative. So please – at least make small “Alternative location” link or something!
@ibrad09 i think they will introduce the Cloud internet security next , just imagine Cloud based firewall, cloud based AV, cloud based spam filter, cloud based content filtering . . .
and cloud based user tooo
@Pedro Bustamante
Thanks for advice, you’re the man!!
@Kams
Try this link: http://www.filehippo.com/download_cloud_antivirus
BUG: Stopping Cloud Antivirus from the system tray icon and then starting it enables both behavioral options.
See screenshot: http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/4827/snap00360506180016.png
I don’t have the Pro version.
@Kams download is now available directly from Panda. Check the PCAV site and press download!
@buddee I think the Cloud Based Internet Security would be nice, I want to use a cloud based firewall
Automatic upgrades should be enabled to Free users too…
PCAV is blocking media player from playing a file. Is this a bug? I am sure that my PC is not infected.
what is the point of this prd. way too buggy, and you guys could compete with awast free, coz the basic law for any av fails on it. ie “the av should not freez during its exn” better switch to NOD32, way too better..
forgot something.. most of the virri spread through USB stick, so if you find file names like update, window, cmd or any weird names in the root of the drive better delete it and look for hidden folders with weird names, they are possibly virus too, and ALWAYS OPEN YOUR USB DRIVE THROURG ADDRESSBAR, DO NOT DOUBLE CLICK AND OPEN THE USB DRIVE , otherwise DISABLE AUTORUN OF USB DRIVES’ by doing so you can make sure that you dont get infected AND DOWNLOAD CRACKS/KEYGENS FROM REPUTED SITES ONLY. if you are able to do this , then you probably dont need an av, cheers Kevin mailme @ itskevinsam@yahoo.co.in
Hmmm. I’m 64% into running a scan on a data drive, and it’s shown up file with Trj/CI.A. Not a problem. I can delete it, it’s surplus to requirements, and it’s never been used.
However
it shows a not neutralized link. When I click on it, I get an excellent link to a description of the little monkey. But when I click on ‘See recommended solution’ I get a web page that begins “Introduction to”
“is a security service that protects your PC without affecting performance: It always offers maximum protection and only comes into action when it is necessary.”
S’right, nothing after “Introduction to” except a blank line. No recommended solution. Not really a problem here. But….
I’m using the free version.
@Murugesh: Panda security is looking into it.
i agree with you it should show some technical details to remove.
Hi Pedro…I am using the new free cloud AV, but I have a problem/question. When I disconnect from wifi or turn off my wifi altogether (thus having no valid internet connection) Panda keeps on happily saying that I am “properly connected to the internet” at the moment. This is concerning…if it always says that and never can be thrown off, how would I ever know that it doesn’t connect properly?
before all, is is not clear to me whether Panda Cloud AV may run as standalone, or that a realtime AV-scanner (I use Norman) is required.
did u wait for 3 to 5 min.
how can i have code for panda cloud for free?? thanks
I have a very slow connection of about 1MB. Will this affect how Panda works?
@cotty
nops coz i’m also using 1MB connection in home and i never face any problem coz it uses very low bandwidth, in my test i scanned my whole system and it take nearly 1mb of data with thousands of virus in my test folder too.
You don’t need a code (I think you mean license?) to be able to use Panda Cloud Antivirus Free.
Just go to this link and download the program right away.
http://www.cloudantivirus.com/en/download/cloud-antivirus/free
Pleased as punch — especially since the full scan didn’t find anything on my system.
Spyware cookies are now being detected. Cool! I also love the ability to exclude certain folders, at last! A little confused about whether subfolders are selected by default or not though.
The only other thing I’m waiting for is scheduled scanning.
Thanks for the hard work and the commitment to keep everyone safe. I install Panda on every computer I fix, replacing all the other crappy bloatware.
What’s the best way to put 1.1 on a computer (win xp pro sp3) with 1.0 already installed? Do you first need to uninstall 1.0, clean the registry, then reinstall 1.1? Or can 1.0 be upgraded to 1.1 without leaving a lot of detritus behind? Great product by the way.
It’s easy, you just need to run the installer of 1.1 and it will automatically uninstall the old 1.0 version.
